Higher School of Business Dean Alsu Akhmetshina took part in the expert discussion of Gaidar forum 2018

18 January 2018 in the framework of Gaidar forum a panel discussion "Gender diversity in business and society as the key to success in a changing world" was held. The theme of this discussion was the part of Gaidar forum agenda, which this year was declared as "Russia and the world: goals and values".

The moderators of the discussion were:

Timothy Mescon, Executive Vice President and Chief Officer, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa;

Marina Pochinok, expert in HR of the International Olympic Committee.

A panel discussion was conducted in English.

Issues related to the situation of gender diversity in business and society, global and Russian trends in this region, and the role of business education in strengthening positive gender diversity were discussed.

A.R.Akhmetshina made a presentation on  the following topic: "Business education and gender diversity (regional experience)", in which current statistics of gender development was analyzed, the reasons of unbalanced gender diversity were stated, the role of business education in the training of managers with different leadership styles was revealed. Special attention was paid to activities and creation of infrastructure support for the development of gender diversity in the Republic of Tatarstan. The audience was presented to Higher School of Business KFU MBA programme, including ones with industry specialization, which are focused on training the next generation of managers and ensuring gender diversity.
