"Redefining Management Education: Excellence and Relevance" - CEEMAN conference

On September 19-22, 2018 Dean of the Higher School of Business, Alsu Akhmetshina took part in the international CEEMAN conference in Prague on the 25-year anniversary of CEEMAN*.

The conference was attended by over 200 leaders and specialists in the field of business education: deans of leading business schools, Directors of MBA programs and heads of international corporations. The main directions of education management development of the near future were discussed at the conference. 

The key report, "Management Education and the Dark Side of Efficiency", was presented by Roger Martin, Dean of the Rotman Business School, (№1 management thinker in 2017), Canada.

 The panel discussion "Redefining Management Education through Innovations and Innovative Partnerships" was also of great interest, the main directions of change in management education were discussed there.

 The Manifesto - "Changing the Course of Management Development: Combining Excellence with Relevance", developed by CEEMAN, was discussed at the meeting. This paper proposes to rethink the philosophy of management, to review approaches to the content management disciplines, scientific research, their application in business education, to offer new interactions of the theory and practice of management, use of new technologies in management education.

 In the framework of the conference the Annual meeting of CEEMAN took place, which summed up the activities of the Association during the past year; the winners of the contest of business cases were awarded with diplomas and prizes; CEEMAN membership certificates were also awarded to the new members of Association**.
